 MANAGING LOCALISED IMPACTS

Storm water – flow and management

Sustainable storm water management focuses on reducing runoff intensity and improving water quality.

Our team will develop a sustainable storm water management approach that respects the local context and focusses on the protection and enhancement of the natural environment.

The storm water management approach is being prepared in coordination with the overall precinct planning.  We will keep the community informed about the detail as it is prepared.

Site access and traffic management – in and around the site

We are working with expert traffic consultants to prepare a detailed traffic assessment that considers all potential impacts on roads during construction and when fully developed.

This includes assessing impacts on the local road network, public transport, cycling and walking paths.

The landowners will work closely with the NSW Government and Kiama Municipal Council to ensure site access and traffic is carefully managed to mitigate any impact to the local community while optimising accessibility.

Quarry land fill and batter surface stabilisation

Remediating the quarry to ensure the land is rehabilitated and prepared for future community use is important to us.

Our team are experienced in delivering exceptional outcomes for new communities and the environment to ensure the land quality and restoration work considers community needs for decades to come.

Environmental management – considering the surrounding landscape

Our aim is for the design, characteristics and village feel to connect, enhance and celebrate the surrounding environment.

EXPERT INVESTIGATIONS

We have brought together a team of industry experts in design, innovation, environment, place-making and sustainability, to ensure the future of Bombo Quarry is delivered to the highest quality and best possible outcome for the wider community.

We acknowledge the Wodi Wodi people on Dharawal country as the traditional custodians of the land on which our precinct is located.

We are committed to honouring Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas and their rich contribution to our community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
